The Hill County Veterans Services Office is taking donations to complete Thanksgiving meals that will be served to veterans in need of assistance. Turkeys have been provided, but instant potatoes, boxed stuffing, gravy mix, canned sweet potatoes, green bean casserole ingredients, pies, rolls, butter, canned corn and canned cranberries are needed.
A donation box is located in the basement of the Hill County Courthouse, and the Lake Whitney Chamber of Commerce is a drop-off location in Whitney.
