The Bosque County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the shooting deaths of two men in Laguna Park that occurred on Christmas Eve.
According to a release from the sheriff’s office, deputies responded to a residence in Laguna Park Sunday, December 24, after receiving a report of a disturbance with shots fired.
When deputies arrived, they were met by a male who stated that two men had been shot after an altercation.
The bodies of the two men were discovered inside the residence with gunshot wounds.
Bosque County Sheriff Trace Hendricks reported that the parties knew each other and emphasized that there was no risk to public safety. The shooter was taken into custody.
Bosque County Jail records show that 52-year-old Larry Jeff Culp Jr. was booked into jail at 5:18 p.m. December 24 on a charge of capital murder of multiple persons. Bond was set at $5 million.
The victims had not been identified by authorities as of press time.
The Bosque County Sheriff’s Office, Texas Rangers and Texas Department of Public Safety Criminal Investigations Department continue to investigate.
