A city-wide cleanup has been scheduled for Saturday, June 22, to help residents clean up their properties.
City of Whitney residents with a 2024 water bill and photo ID can place trash in dumpsters that will be placed at Whitney City Park from 8 a.m. until noon, or until they are full.
The cleanup will be conducted on a first-come, first-served basis. Dumpsters can fill up quickly, so those planning to take advantage of the opportunity should show up on time.
The city will have four, 40-yard roll-off boxes on site courtesy of the Heart of Texas Council of Governments (HOTCOG) and one 40-yard roll-off courtesy of Republic Services. HOTCOG will also supply a tire trailer.
Dumpsters will be located at the back of the city park. Traffic should enter on Cleveland Street and exit on Polk.
