The Whitney City Council will meet in a special session Thursday, June 27, at 6 p.m. The June meeting was moved from the usual third Thursday of the month due to scheduling conflicts.
The council will discuss road repair on North Trinity Street between Jefferson and Washington. A fire academy presentation will be given by Robert Matthews. There will also be a presentation on Verizon fleet and cell phone programs.
The council will consider declaring an ambulance surplus property, new permitting processes and applications will be discussed, and a Building and Standards Commission ordinance will be reviewed.
The appointment of an alderman is also on the agenda.
The meeting will be held at the Lake Whitney Public Library meeting room.
