The Whitney City Council will meet in a regular session Thursday, July 18, at 6 p.m.
The council is expected to review the city’s 2022-23 financial audit. Specifications for city streets and roads will also be before the council for consideration.
Lonnie Yandell is on the agenda to discuss repaving Joyce Street.
The hiring of Zachary Brown as an officer for the Whitney Police Department is on the agenda.
A special event application from the Lake Whitney Chamber of Commerce for the annual Pioneer Days festival set for Saturday, October 5, will also be reviewed.
The schedule of upcoming budget workshops is also expected to be set as work continues on a budget for the coming fiscal year.
The meeting will be held in the Lake Whitney Public Library Meeting Room, located at 602 East Jefferson Avenue in Whitney.
