The Whitney City Council has scheduled a special session for Thursday, July 25, at 6 p.m.
The council will hear a presentation on employee benefits from several insurance providers before voting on an employee benefits insurance broker of record for the 2024-25 fiscal year.
The council will also vote on amending the obstruction of streets ordinance to address property owners’ responsibilities regarding trees and bushes.
A request for proposals is also expected to be issued for engineering services regarding the city’s application for a Texas Department of Agriculture Community Development Block Grant.
The meeting will be held at the Lake Whitney Public Library meeting room, located at 602 East Jefferson Avenue in Whitney.
