The Alumni Board of Directors of Texas A&M Law has announced that Hill County Judge Justin Lewis is one of seven recipients of the fourth annual Alumni Legacy Awards.
Judge Lewis has been awarded the Judge Joe Spurlock II ’60 Alumnus/Alumna of the Year Award.
In 2020, the beloved law school professor and one of the founders of the original law school passed away. This award was created to honor him and his legacy.
Judge Lewis earned the award in recognition of exceptional, continued achievement and noteworthy contributions to the legal profession and Texas A&M University School of Law.
Given by the Texas A&M Law Alumni Board of Directors, the annual awards recognize outstanding law school alumni as well as their individual achievements, contributions to their professions, service to their communities and loyalty to the law school.
“The Alumni Board of Directors is ecstatic to announce our well-deserving 2024 recipients,” said Derek McKee, president of the Texas A&M Law Alumni Board of Directors. “It is one of our greatest honors to recognize our outstanding alumni for their incredible accomplishments, both in the practice of law and in our communities at large.”
This year’s awards reception will be held Saturday, October 12, at the Sheraton Fort Worth Downtown Hotel at 6 p.m.
