The fourth annual Putts for Paws golf tournament is scheduled for Saturday, October 19, at the Old Course at White Bluff Resort in Whitney. This golf tournament is a fundraising event to benefit Hill County Paw Pals in Hillsboro.
The four-person scramble will get underway at 10 a.m. There will be trophies awarded for first, second and third places. There will also be door prizes and a 50/50 drawing at the end of the tournament.
Businesses and individuals can sponsor a hole for $100 per hole. The tournament entry fee is $70 (golf and a donation).
Paw Pals is a non-profit, no-kill dog and cat shelter saving abandoned pets, providing medical care as needed and rehoming dogs and cats.
Volunteers and fosters are needed. The operation involves two day shifts every day of the year.
Each shift lasts three to four hours and requires light duties like cleaning.
