Five people were transported to area medical facilities after a head-on collision near Blum Thursday morning, January 16.
According to reports, Department of Public Safety troopers were called to the scene in the 7000 block of Farm Road 933 south of Blum just after 7 a.m.
The preliminary investigation determined that the driver of a northbound Pontiac Grand Prix drove onto the wrong side of the roadway, crashing into a Nissan Altima.
Both drivers were transported to Texas Health Harris Methodist Hospital in Fort Worth to be treated for suspected injuries. Three children who were passengers in the Nissan were also transported to Cook Children’s Hospital to be treated for possible injuries.
The Department of Public Safety is investigating the crash. Blum and Covington first responders, Hill County Sheriff’s Office deputies and CareFlite also responded.
