The Lake Whitney Chamber of Commerce is accepting nominations for awards to be presented during this year’s chamber banquet. The 70th annual awards dinner and banquet will be held Thursday, April 24, at the HILCO Civic and Event Center in Itasca.
Each year, the chamber presents awards to individuals and businesses for their significant contributions to the Lake Whitney area.
Awards are presented to the citizen of the year, chamber member of the year, educator of the year and young person of the year, and a Hall of Fame Award is also presented.
The following information should be submitted by the nominator:
- Discuss why the nominee should receive the award.
- How has the nominee made a difference in the community in the nomination category?
- Provide examples of the nominee’s volunteerism or advocacy.
- Provide any other information about the nominee that you feel should be shared with the committee.

All nominations are due by 4 p.m. Friday, March 21. The nominator will be asked to introduce the winner on the evening of the banquet.
