Spring brings the annual Big Event fundraiser at the Bosque Arts Center in Clifton, “Shaken, Not Stirred.”
The event began with an online “e-BAC” auction Thursday, March 27, and will run through April 3, to be followed by the Big Event weekend April 4-5.
The e-BAC includes an assortment of art, photography, limited ticket events and merchandise. Jewelry and accessories are up for bid, along with a skeet shoot, a home security system with eight 4K cameras, and a Cobratec knife.
Art included in the auction includes work by Bruce Greene, Martin Grelle, Lloyd Voges, George Boutwell and Judy Parton, in addition to work donated by Photography Guild members Marvin Grelle, Vickie Mitchell and more.
The BYOB Bond-themed Big Event weekend will kick off with a double night of bingo Friday, April 4. A $15 burger dinner will be served from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m., followed by bingo sessions at 6:30 p.m. and 8:30 p.m. The evening will include two $500 jackpots, in addition to pull-tabs and other drawings.
Saturday, April 5, will feature music, dancing, drinks and a catered dinner by Olaf’s, along with drawings and silent auctions for a wide range of items. Drawings for a 50/50 jackpot and Ruger rifle will also take place.
Musician Brian Barrett and band will provide live entertainment for the evening in addition to a James Bond trivia session. Bryan Davis will lead a tribute to Chester and Sue Posey, longtime supporters of the BAC and Big Event.
Reservations are required for the burger dinner and Saturday night’s gala fundraiser. Call the BAC at 254-675-3724 for more information or to confirm availability.
