Texas Education Agency Commissioner Mike Morath is scheduled to visit Aquilla ISD Wednesday morning, September 24.
Commissioner Morath personally asked to visit Aquilla ISD to see firsthand the innovative programs and successes that set the district apart. During his time on campus, Commissioner Morath will tour classrooms, view the district’s ongoing construction project and conclude with a roundtable discussion with students.
“This visit is an opportunity to showcase the meaningful work happening across Aquilla ISD each day,” said Superintendent David Edison. “From programs like Teacher Incentive Allotment and Grow Your Own, to the academic progress shown in our test scores, Commissioner Morath will see the excellence and commitment that make our district special.
“Most importantly, he will witness the passion our staff bring to teaching and supporting students every single day.”
The commissioner’s visit underscores the progress and innovation taking place in Aquilla ISD.
With a focus on student achievement, educator development and ongoing growth, Edison said that Aquilla ISD continues to set high standards for success.
