The voter registration deadline for new voters planning to cast a ballot on the November 4 election date is Monday, October 6.
Texans will vote on proposed constitutional amendments, and several local elections are also planned.
Texas law requires eligible voters to register by the 30th day before election day.
To confirm voter registration status, Texans can visit the Texas Secretary of State’s “Am I Registered?” portal, which allows them to look up their voter registration record in the statewide voter registration database.
Those who have recently changed their name or moved can also update their voter registration online through Texas.gov.
To register to vote, return an application to the county elections office by the deadline. Applications are available at the elections office or can be filled out and printed at votetexas.gov.
