A Whitney ISD school bus carrying students slid off the roadway into a ditch on HCR 1240 Wednesday afternoon, December 3.
The incident was reported at 4:24 p.m., with multiple agencies responding to the scene. The district reported that the bus was carrying elementary and intermediate school children.
Superintendent Todd Southard said that those on board sustained some bumps and bruises, but there were no major injuries.
The superintendent thanked the first responders, as well as Whitney ISD employees who assisted at the scene.
