The Texas Department of Transportation will host an in-person public meeting, with a virtual option, for TxDOT’s State Highway 22 at Laguna Park roundabout project Thursday, March 5.
The meeting, set for 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., will be held at West Shore Civic Association Community Center, located at 560 Farm Road 3118 in Laguna Park (Clifton address).
The proposed project would improve the highway from Bosque County Road 1801 to the Hill County line in Laguna Park.
State Highway 22 is currently a five-lane undivided roadway with two through lanes in each direction and a two-way left turn lane. The proposed project would reconstruct the roadway as a three-lane section with one through lane in each direction, a two-way left turn lane, improved shoulders and pedestrian elements.
The intersection of State Highway 22 and Farm Road 56 would be converted to a single-lane roundabout, which TxDOT says will improve safety and mobility.
To submit a comment, email wac_districtpubliccomments@txdot.gov, fill out the in-person comment form at the meeting or mail to TxDOT Waco District Office, 100 S. Loop Drive, Waco, TX 76704.
Comments must be post-marked or received by March 20 to be included in the official public meeting record.
