The Whitney City Council will meet in a special session at 6 p.m. Thursday, March 26.
The council is expected to hold a public hearing on amendments to the zoning ordinance related to outdoor display of goods for sale in the Central Business District.
There will be discussion and possible action on an America250 potluck event on July 5 at Whitney City Park.
The council will also discuss a recommendation from the city’s parks board to fill a board vacancy.
Some other items on the agenda include a budget update from city staff, the designation of April as Fair Housing Month and applying for the Texas Department of Agriculture’s downtown revitalization grant.
The meeting will be held at the Lake Whitney Public Library, located at 602 East Jefferson Avenue in Whitney.
