The Bosque Arts Center is preparing to take a nostalgic stroll through the music of Glen Campbell Saturday, May 2, when “The Wichita Lineman, A Tribute to Glen Campbell starring Carl Acuff Jr.,” comes to Clifton.
The show, which begins at 7 p.m., features many of Campbell’s greatest hits like “By The Time I Get To Phoenix,” “Gently on My Mind,” “Southern Nights” and more.
Acuff is a 30-year veteran of the entertainment business. After Campbell’s death in August 2017, Acuff and a group of musicians decided to put together a tribute to the entertainment legend.
Acuff hand-picked musicians, including some Glen Campbell alumni from the Branson and Las Vegas years, to bring this show to life with full instrumentation, great vocals and musical ability.
The band will take you on a trip through all of Campbell’s biggest hits, including the last song he recorded, “I’m Not Gonna Miss You.”
Doors open at 5:30 p.m. with food and beverages for sale. Sponsor tickets are $100 each; reserved seats at tables are $50. General admission seats are $25.
The Bosque Arts Center is located at 215 South College Hill Drive in Clifton.
