The Whitney City Council will meet in a regular session at 6 p.m. Thursday, July 16.
The council is expected to discuss a request for a tax abatement agreement from Whitney Family Medicine.
Also on the agenda is follow-up discussion on a proposal to move city elections to November, instead of the current May schedule.
A professional services compensation agreement is on the agenda with Movin On In Properties, LLC, which is proposing a subdivision in the city limits.
The council is also expected to consider an employment offer for a full-time police officer applicant and discuss setting terms for appointed library members.
Also on the agenda are a financing agreement through the Whitney Cultural Education Facilities Finance Corporation, and the financing of three police vehicles with Government Capital Securities.
Department heads will give their regular monthly reports to the council.
